One of the first topics of the newly forged alliance between the German Wrestling Federation and Foeldeak was the upgrading of the German Championships.
It was of particular importance to new President Jens Nettekoven that the upcoming German Championships in May be fought on wrestling mats in a new, DRB-own design.
Black – red – gold! “These are our national colours and for the German Wrestling Federation the tradition belongs to it, the colours of the Federal Republic of Germany should not only shine on the jersey of the wrestlers but also on the wrestling mat”, says the President of the German Wrestling Federation Jens-Peter Nettekoven, who had the idea to redesign the mat covers.
Foeldeak then produced various designs with different designs and colour combinations for voting. The favoured design will soon be on display at the national championships.
Clubs and associations can take advantage of this opportunity to purchase these one-time use mats at a special price and pick them up after the championships.
Both individual mat covers and complete wrestling mats are available.
